Good news! Our proprietary Style 5000 Gray Pureflex Water Hose now carries NSF-61 Certification, with no additional cost. 

For pure water applications, both NSF-61 and NSF-51 certifications indicate that the hose is suitable for use with potable water, and are often used interchangeably, but there are some key differences between the certifications.

The National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) established the NSF-61 standard for products that come into contact with drinking water. This certification ensures that the hose material is safe and won't leach harmful chemicals into the water. NSF-61 certified hoses are made of materials like EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), silicone, or PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), which are known for their low toxicity and high purity.

NSF-51, on the other hand, is a standard for materials and components used in food equipment. While this certification also indicates that the hose material is safe for use with potable water, it doesn't specifically address the purity of the water.
